March 27…who knew that we would encounter 18 inches of snow at the end of March. Thankfully, most of the snow came the day before their wedding. Some of our plans had to change-like a photo op at Elk Meadow with the entire bridal party-but thankfully the bride’s home provided a beautiful backdrop.

What a gorgeous bride!!

I've never seen someone so relaxed before their wedding day. There must have been 40 people in her parent's home getting ready for the wedding. Some family members were late or lost (or both) due to road closures due to the heavy spring snow, but you'd never know there was a stressful moment when you were with Shelly! She was absolutely amazing!

Shelly and Chris decided to have a special first moment together. It was a pretty big job to keep the adoring family members away for their private moment-everyone is so thrilled for them! Here is Shelly laughing in the hallway as she anticipates the moment she will walk down the stairs and see Chris for the first time.

What a handsome groom! The look on his face tells it all!

This image was taken after Shelly decended the stairs and sees Chris for the first time. I don't even have words for this one-it is my favorite!

The guys---all 13 of them. The spring snow amidst the evergreens was gorgeous.

One of the most beautiful ceremonies---Chris and Shelly have a very strong faith and it was evident in their wedding. From the worship songs (with a cameo of the bride's nephews) to the communion (served by the couple to all their guests) to the foot-washing the couple did for each other. Beautiful!!

Now I would love to claim this as my grand idea, but it was not. Early on in the planning process, the bride expressed a desire to have a picture of herself and the groom surrounded by their friends and family since they are all so very important. Many of those standing near them have supported them and encouraged them all the way. Great idea, Shelly.

Here is a shot of the couple in a private moment between the ceremony and the reception. A beautiful moment!

The first dance was so beautifully coreographed. I guess since Shelly is a personal trainer, I should not have been surprised. Really, really nice!
