Another WPPI down in the books. IT was their thirtieth year. WPPI is the ultimate for Wedding and Portrait Photography education. Great people and great inspiration, too bad it is held in Las Vegas every year. I’ve got so many new ideas, not sure where to begin. The timing is great as we are going through a rebranding. Look for a new logo and a new look to our website in weeks (hopefully not months) to come.

Wow! It has been snowing for over two days and it is still going! 25 inches and still counting! After shoveling the walkway in preparation to my next client meeting, I think I can skip my workout. We live in the small town of Evergreen, CO. We’ve lived here about ten years and I recently just made a new discovery…Bits and Pieces. It is a boutique on the north side of town with a very similar business philosophy to ours–give great service, far above what is expected. I first heard about this boutique from one of our brides from 2008, Sydney Hosttetler Yapoujian, and more recently from our bride, Maggie Oesterling. Both of these former stylists raved about the boutique, so I thought I just had to check it out for myself. I attended their fashion show last Thursday night. After a delicious, yet healthy meal(who knew it could be one and the same?) , we were treated to a very fun, light-hearted fashion show by clients of the boutique. The crowd was enthusiastic to learn all the latest fashion tips. It was such an intimate event that we could even touch the fabrics. The audience was comprised mostly of faithful shoppers and fans of the boutique and very little encouragement was needed to get them up, showing off their favorite Bits and Pieces fashions. I was amazed to learn that Sarah and her staff host these events fairly regularly (nearly monthly) for the small donation of $15 which goes to a different charity each time. Lionscrest Manor is such a beautiful place to get married! This was our first time to this venue and we certainly hope it will not be our last!

July 5 truly belonged to Maggie and Rowdy! Their beautiful ceremony was conducted by the groom’s uncle as they stood on the edge of a cliff overlooking one of the most dramatic scenes in all of Colorado. We are so happy for Maggie and Rowdy-so beautiful and in-love! Everyone present was absolutely thrilled for this awesome couple. It has been really hard to narrow down our favorites but here are a few…well, actually more than a few…

We are so thrilled for Shelley and Sean and their new life together. We had them over last Friday to toast their new marriage and show them their slideshow and wedding album design. UPDATE ON OUR GIGGLES AND GRINS FUNDRAISER

On April 25, we held a one day event where we shot children’s portraits at the Buchanan Rec Center to raise money for the Special Needs Fund for our local Evergreen Park and Rec District. This group, like many, do awesome things for the community, but have recently experienced budget cuts. We were so happy to conduct this one day shoot of area families. All the proceeds from the sessions went to this fund. In one afternoon, we were able to raise $660! We also got to meet some terrific families and provide some mothers with beautiful family art for Mother’s Day. It was such a joy! Here are just a few…
