Congrats to Ken and Betina!

Today we had Ken and Betina over to toast their new marriage. We shot their wedding on June 5. It was a beautiful wedding at the Boettcher Mansion with every guest in either black tie or formal gowns. This wedding was loaded with details and we think you’ll see it again on a wedding blog or magazine in the near future. We could not be happier for Ken and Betina. It was an honor to shoot their wedding and be a part of their wedding. Here is the slideshow that we launched today (click on the image below)…

June 5 was a much anticipated and long awaited day for Ken and Betina. They met downtown at The Westin Hotel and then traveled up to The Boettcher Mansion for their ceremony and reception. It was truly an international event since the bride and many of her family members are from South America and her maid of honor was from Russia. The maid of honor gave the bride wonderful surprises like a slideshow and a candlelit reception to the couple’s announcement at the reception. The attire was black tie, fairly unique to casual Colorado-every guest in a tux or a long gown. We are so thrilled to have been a part of Ken and Betina’s wonderful day. Here is just a sneak peek of their big day…many more to come…

Meet Gabby from Save the Date Events. She has been such a help with coordinating all of the details of this very-international, highly anticipated event. We’ve been published! 5 couples in Colorado Expressions, “Tie the Knot”

I was pretty astounded when I opened up the lastest edition of Colorado Expressions–I had no idea we had FIVE of our couples from this year to be published in it. Congratulations to Marnie and Wsiel (married at Boettcher Mansion), Shelley and Sean(married at Three Trees Chapel and reception at Meadow Creek Bed and Breakfast), Erin and Ryan (married at Johnston and Wales University), Maggie and Rowdy (married at Lionscrest Manor) and Erin and Terrill (married at Central Pres and reception at Denver Museum of Nature and Science)

Boettcher Mansion Wedding Show – Colorado Wedding Photographer

It was so nice to see so many recently engaged couples at the Boettcher Mansion Bridal Show. I just love talking to people in love and just starting the big process of planning their wedding. It is really exciting and one of the greatest parts of this career-we get a front row seat (or is it a backstage pass?) to the biggest day of their life. How cool is that?! We get the privilege of preserving all those special moments with the photographs. We love doing it! Here’s wishing all of you that I met yesterday the very best!

Congratulations Marnie and Wsiel!

Boettcher Mansion, Golden, CO

This was a spectacular day, about five years in the making. Marnie and Wsiel first met while in high school while delivering sandwiches to homeless people with their youth group. It was love at first sight. Wsiel is a native of the Dominican Republic and has experienced a tremendous uphill battle with immigration. His own brother was deported several years ago. When Wsiel and Marnie set their wedding date, it was his mother’s dream to visit the U.S. to watch her son’s marriage. Miracles really do happen and they were granted permission to visit for one month. Wsiel’s brother, still in the Domincan Republic, was able to participate courtesy of Skype. Get this, the bride’s 87 year old grandmother made her beautiful dress! Marnie’s design talents brought the island feel to the beautiful Boettcher Mansion in honor of the groom’s native Dominican Republic. We were so honored to be a part of this incredible celebration!
