Ryann and Nick: Part 2, the ceremony
This gorgeous wedding was held “in the round”. For those of you unfamiliar with that term, it means that the ceremony can be observed by every seat in the gorgeous Brown Palace ballroom. Ryann and Nick were married by a Jewish Rabbi under a Chuppah, which symbolized the Jewish home by the cloth canopy and the four poles. It is a tradition that harkens back to the ancient days of the tent of Abraham. A beautiful ceremony in a beautiful place…

Check out this wedding album for Erin and Ryan. They had a beautiful wedding last August. Since that time, life has moved really fast…they are now expecting their first child and moving into their new home.

Their wedding was held at the beautiful Johnson and Wales University campus. I don’t think there is anything like it here in Colorado. The architecture is very East Coast and turn of the century but their reception venue was ultra-modern with lighting that beautifully complimented the bride’s colors of red and yellow. This was an interfaith wedding for the couple and they sought unique ways to blend their Jewish and Christian faiths. The groom and his father built the beautiful chuppah, the beautiful wooden canopy which represents the Jewish home. The bride arrived at the ceremony by a horse-drawn carriage, something she has always dreamed of and was a surprise gift by her parents. The celebration went well into the night with traditional Jewish dancing. Congratulations Erin and Ryan!
