Colorado Intimate Weddings {Beaver Creek Wedding Photography}

On March 19, Kristi and Jason, along with their closest family and friends, all gathered on the top of Vail Mountain to witness the exchanging of their wedding vows. Since every person in attendance was from Kansas City, it was truly a destination wedding. Every detail was expertly handled by Wendee Walter-Vezett, owner of Custom Weddings of Colorado. We first met the gorgeous bride at Christie’s Lodge. We then took the lift to the very top of the mountain. What a beautiful mountain-top ceremony with a gorgeous backdrop of the snow-capped Rockies! After a short photoshoot, we headed back down the mountain to an intimate reception at The Rocks of Beaver Creek.

It was a privilege to shoot this big day for such beautiful, warm people.

Lindy and Brian get married {Denver Wedding Photography}

February 25, 2012–a day that truly belongs to Lindy and Brian. What an amazing start to a long happy marriage. We are thrilled we could take part in it.
We started at the bride’s home and met her long-time makeup artist. This makeup artist has been working with her throughout her entire dance career. We then headed over to the church, Arvada Covenant Church, a beautiful place, and a gorgeous backdrop to the traditional wedding ceremony. We got some amazing shots of Brian and Lindy on the hillside and then everyone piled into limos to head downtown. After making a few stops in LODO, we arrived at the historic Mile High Station. The couple and wedding party were announced on the first floor while their friends and family cheered from the Mezzanine level. Dinner and heartfelt toasts followed by a packed dance floor. The couple made their get-away with non other than a giant wedding cake pinata attached to the roof.
Here is a sneak peak of a few shots. We plan to have Brian and Lindy over for the big unveiling in the next week or so. There will be more to come at that point. But for now…enjoy!

Adelaide at 8 months {Evergreen Colorado baby photography}

I absolutely love photographing babies! Of course babies are adorable and cute but it even goes beyond that. I get to see the family change and grow with every new stage. Not only do the babies change and grow but so do their parents. There is such a difference from the initial shoot with the mom and dad that maybe a bit nervous and to see that all replaced by confidence and assurance that they, more than anyone else on the planet, are equipped to care for their child.

What greater joy than photographing a family member! This is my niece Rebekah and her husband Scott. They are professional parents. They are amazing and, therefore, Adelaide, their precious daughter is also precious. But then again, I maybe biased.

Here are some images from our latest photoshoot. They made the trek up from the Springs to our studio in Evergreen, Colorado. These should bring a smile to your face and remind you of the joy of children…
