Another WPPI down in the books. IT was their thirtieth year. WPPI is the ultimate for Wedding and Portrait Photography education. Great people and great inspiration, too bad it is held in Las Vegas every year. I’ve got so many new ideas, not sure where to begin. The timing is great as we are going through a rebranding. Look for a new logo and a new look to our website in weeks (hopefully not months) to come.

Engagement Shoot-Colorado Wedding Photography

We had such a blast with Alli and Andrew! We shot their engagement images on land that has been owned by Andrew’s family for over five generations. This was also the land where Andrew proposed to Alli. Very special place indeed! I just love their expressions! These guys were a lot of fun and very spontaneous, you’d never know that it was about 35 degrees. We can’t wait to shoot their wedding later this summer. We also created Save the Date cards from their engagement images so they can get the word out to their friends and family.

On February 18, this world lost one of its angels but it was definitely heaven’s gain. Chris’ mother passed away after a year long bout with breast cancer that spread to her liver. She was truly an amazing woman-so full of kindness and grace. It has been a hard couple of weeks…I am so intensely grateful for my family, both extended and immediate. They are truly awesome and life would not at all be the same without family.
A while back I included these lyrics in an email I sent out to many of you but I think it needs to be repeated because we can all forget what is important from time to time:

DVD cover for Faithful Workouts

Recently we had the privilege of shooting the cover of Faithful Workout’s latest DVD set. There will be six covers when the project is completed. We had a blast with Michelle, the owner of Faithful Workouts. I cannot believe her abs! I’ll let you know when the DVDs are released…warning:these workouts are not for whimps. Michelle has a great way of combining a very hard core workout and an inspirational message. Check it out at www.faithfulworkouts.com.

We are so stoked to be working with so many awesome couples this year! Thank you for placing your trust in us. As we gear up for taking engagement session images, we typically let our couples choose a place that resonates with their style. I have put together a little video of some of the awesome locations we love…LODO, Denver Art Museum, Evergreen, Red Rocks, Central City and Belmar. We have such a blast shooting these. We were thrilled to open our mailbox today and discover that one of our weddings, Martha and Paul, is featured in the “Tie the Knot” section of Colorado Expressions AND a couple of images from Erin and Terrill’s wedding is in Confetti. It is a lot of fun to share the joy and beauty of our weddings with a wider audience. I think this makes 8 magazines for us in the last two years. Congrats Erin and Terrill and Martha and Paul!

ISES Wedding Showcase–Mile High Station

Ever wonder where wedding consultants get their inspiration? One of the places they get it is from each other. Last night was the fifth annual wedding showcase for the International Special Events Society and it was huge! Sasha Souza was on hand to give the latest trends and Funkiphino provided the entertainment. All night long I kept glancing up at the stage because I could not believe I was hearing the song live. They are that good! Everything from Michael Jackson to AC/DC and a whole lot in between. They rocked!

We are on Project Wedding Blog…again!

We are so excited to do what we do. One of the many perks is making good friends with our clients. And some of those clients are just over-the-top! Dave and Chris were married July 12 at Wild Basin Lodge. Chris thought every detail out perfectly and their wedding was absolutely lovely. It was a privilege to be their photographers. These guys even brought us a gift while on their honeymoon (now that is thoughtful!) Chris has been such a faithful blogger on Project Wedding, providing inspiration to countless brides and talking of her experience. You can read about it here:
