Congratulations 2013 Seniors

It is that special time of year for me. I have mixed feelings about it…a little bit happy and a little bit sad. I meet my clients on their senior photoshoot, get to know them, and usually develop a relationship. It is exciting to hear their plans while I work with them from behind my camera. I often run into my senior clients out and about in Evergreen or they often come see me again in the spring for custom announcements or extra prints. I ask them again their plans and, this time, they have really taken shape. Sometimes it is exactly what they predicted in the summer but, oftentimes, it is different. They know just a little more of who they are and what makes them tick. More clarity.

I am also a little sad to see them go. I know their family will miss them terribly and they will oftentimes leave our little community of Evergreen for distant lands. But it is time to spread those wings and fly. Go for their calling and become all that God wants them to be!
Congratulations Jenna!

Evergreen Family Portraits

We were so honored to be asked to photograph a family that we have grown to love more and more over the years. WE first met Tony and Tori when they asked us to shoot their wedding in Breckenridge a couple of years ago. Since then, we have photographed their maternity session and newborn session and baby sessions. This time, we photographed her entire family. My favorite images were of the great grandfather and his first grandson. They have a precious bond as you will see in these images.

New year…new name…new logo…renewed focus

We have decided to rename our business to reflect who we really are. Yes, we began in 2004 as Chris Sharber Photography as Chris was doing all of the shooting and editing. Of course, as time passed, I became a lot more involved. To this date, Chris has only done one photo shoot without me there. We really are a team. Since we both shoot and edit now, a name change has been long overdue. We are now Sharber Photography.

We have also made the decision to stick with what we love best- babies, high school seniors and families. We loved shooting weddings (and we have met the most amazing people through shooting hundreds of weddings) however, committing to a date so far in advance, was difficult for our dynamic family. We are excited about new opportunities to create short films for non-profits in foreign countries. Last year, we traveled to Mexico, Nigeria, Dominican Republic and Haiti and a trip to Nepal is in the works for 2013.

We know that 2012 was year of good times and hard times for some of you. We hope and pray that 2013 will be a tremendous year of blessings to you and yours.

With the new name AND the new focus, we felt a need to change our logo.
