We were thrilled to open our mailbox today and discover that one of our weddings, Martha and Paul, is featured in the “Tie the Knot” section of Colorado Expressions AND a couple of images from Erin and Terrill’s wedding is in Confetti. It is a lot of fun to share the joy and beauty of our weddings with a wider audience. I think this makes 8 magazines for us in the last two years. Congrats Erin and Terrill and Martha and Paul!

We are so excited to present Erin and Terrill’s wedding album design. What a gorgeous wedding and it was such a joy for me to re-live the day while designing the album. Their wedding ceremony was at the century-old Central Presbyterian Church of Denver and their reception was at the ultra-urban Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Congratulations!! We’ve been published! 5 couples in Colorado Expressions, “Tie the Knot”

I was pretty astounded when I opened up the lastest edition of Colorado Expressions–I had no idea we had FIVE of our couples from this year to be published in it. Congratulations to Marnie and Wsiel (married at Boettcher Mansion), Shelley and Sean(married at Three Trees Chapel and reception at Meadow Creek Bed and Breakfast), Erin and Ryan (married at Johnston and Wales University), Maggie and Rowdy (married at Lionscrest Manor) and Erin and Terrill (married at Central Pres and reception at Denver Museum of Nature and Science)

We began the day with preparations at the Westin on the 16th Street Mall. After a beautiful private meeting of the bride and groom, we hit the streets of Denver for one very cool photo op. Then we headed over to Central Pres Church for the ceremony. Some of our favorite shots came courtesy of the flower girl and ring bearer (see below). After the ceremony, family and friends jumped in the limo and headed over to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Even the couple’s beloved bulldogs joined in the fun. The DMNS has to be one of the coolest, most contemporary venues in all of Denver. The reception spread out over all four floors. After a delicious dinner catered by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science staff, the dancing began with gusto thanks to Simply Entertainment. An imprompu solo from a guest brought down the house as well as the bride and her sister’s rap. We ended the evening with a private moment on the balcony overlooking the views of Denver. One really lovely wedding day!! Congratulations Erin and Terrill! We could not be happier for you!

A surprise rap song by the bride and her sister. They brought down the house! The DJ was awesome!

A guest performance. He sang "I'm forever yours, faithfully" in a way that would make Steve Perry proud.

The city views were a big part of the inspiration to book the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

ICON awards entry

We have entered a contest (deadline yesterday) for the ICON awards. You probably haven’t heard of it, unless you are in the wedding industry. It has several categories, mostly about really large, over-the-top events. We decided to enter our latest wedding in the category of photography (no surprise there). We won’t know until February which seems a really long time from now. Here are just a few of my favorites…(I have over 100 favorites from this wedding) Here are a few from Erin and Terrill’s beautiful urban-themed wedding. More next week…
