We cannot wait to reveal everything we shot at Sam and Bob’s wedding. This is just a sneak peek. In a few days, we are having the happy couple over to our studio to toast their new marriage and roll the slideshow and relive that wonderful day, October 29, 2011. Deer Creek Valley Ranch is an amazing venue!!! Absolutely perfect in every way for Sam and Bob.

We could not be happier for Kacee and Colan as they start their new life together! Beautiful people…beautiful location…beautiful weather…a beautiful day in every way. We are so honored to be there! One unique part of this wedding was the awesome bridal party-they were an extremely tight-knit group and had known each other for years. Everyone was over-joyed to see these two tie the knot. The setting of their nuptials was the Fossil Trace Golf Club with breathtaking views of Golden’s mesa skyline. The flowers were gorgeous compliments of Dore at Stems Flower Shop. After the ceremony, we followed the couple out on the golf course in separate golf carts to take advantage of the beautiful grounds. Then, of course, the real party began and went on into the night. Kacee and Colan, we could not be happier for you! All of the details of this wedding were handled expertly under the direction of Laney and Joel of Authored Events. The cakes and cupcakes were from Cakes Amore and the DJ was Matt from DJ on Demand. To see more of Fossil Trace, click here

Colorado Engagement Session

I received a phone call from Lindsay a while back. She had just recently gotten engaged and wanted to get her engagement pictures taken. I love this girl-she has her priories straight. Even before her venue or dress, she wanted to document the feelings that she and Jake share at this incredibly exciting time of their lives. I love engagement sessions! We were happy to oblige. We settled on Central City. It is an old rusty, dusty mining town-turned-gamling center with cool old buildings and textures. Usually Chris and I have a bit of work to do when we shoot people we have never met before-usually getting them to relax and trust us to make them look good. No need this time. These guys rocked. They are so into each other, making our job very, very easy.

We are so happy for our new friends and their exciting future together. They still do not have a wedding site or date quite nailed down but it sounds like it will be sooner than later. One of the perks of this job is hanging out with people in love…pretty cool. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can work with them again on their wedding day-just waiting to see what that awesome date is going to be. More to come but for now…

First wedding of 2010!

New Year’s Day! What a great day to get married! Shannan and Andre decided Colorado would be the destination for their wedding after a whirlwind romance and courtship. This was truly a destination wedding with the bride coming from Missouri and the groom from California, Colorado just seemed perfect. It was such a privilege to shoot their wedding. It was a bit unusual for us to meet on the wedding day but, when the engagement is only a few weeks, sometimes that is just how it works. We immediately felt a connection with the bride and groom and their close circle of family and friends. You could just sense how everyone was so happy this couple had found each other!

Their wedding had a true Colorado feel, set in Pine, CO at the gorgeous Meadow Creek Mountain Lodge and Event Center. Here are just a few of my favorites, more to come…

If you don’t already know Emily, you have got to meet her. If you don’t already have a wedding planner, you have really got to meet her. This is Emily of Events by Emily. I first met Emily through some networking events concerning weddings. She is such a blast to be around, so when she contacted me about doing a shoot for her family, I knew it would be fun. Little did I know how much fun it would really be. When you see the kids running, don’t believe it was a jog-it was a full-on sprint and the hugs, well, they were more like tackle sessions. What a privilege to shoot such an awesome family!

We just met with Shelley and Sean to do their final album edit. We had a great time reliving their big day and create a beautiful heirloom. We are really happy for these newlyweds and feel so privileged to have shot their wedding at Meadow Creek Bed and Breakfast this past June.
